In Filipino mythology, Mayari is daughter of Bathala, creator of Earth and beings. She is the goddess of the Moon, night, combat, war, strength, revolution, weaponry, and beauty. She also has two other sisters: Tala and Hanan.
Hanan is the goddess of the new morning/dawn. She is important during new phases of life. This includes, entering a new age, a new phase in life, during child birth.
Tala is the goddess of the evening star. She is also known to have assisted in creating Tagalog traditional constellations. Tala is know to use light spheres to safely guide men out at sea. In another version of her story, when Spaniards arrived, these light orb were evil and killed men.
